June is Audiobook Month


Each year that I enjoy the audiobook format, I encounter more narrators that become fast favorites and a few books that truly sparkle more than ever in the audio format.  I had a fabulous listening year since our last June is Audiobook Month (JIAM) event so I wanted to share the gems that made my Top Five lists for both narrators and books.

Top Five New Favorite Narrators

Gildart Jackson – he has a low voice and can do dark and gritty, brooding, or lighthearted so well.

Jayne Entwistle – so versatile with young child to the aged, classes, accents, and engaging tone and pace.

The Inspector de Silva Mysteries series by Harriet Steel read by Matthew Lloyd Davies

Matthew Lloyd Davis – smooth low voice, fabulous foreign accents, historical setting, pace, and emotional cues.
