So, at the end of the previous book, Samael D’Ore goes missing. Deka Silvergrace is determined to find him. They meet briefly in Dragon Foretold. She knows they are mates. She won’t be without him.

Deka manipulates her family to send her to Paris so that she can continue her search there. She doesn’t hide that she is searching for him. She is quickly taken prisoner by the same people who have Samael.

There is something new in this book. The jailers are a slug-like creature. They are compared to Jabba the Hut. I found them interesting. I’m wondering what the future will hold for these guys.

This isn’t the first time that Eve Langlais has taken a villain from a previous book and turn them into a hero for a later book in the series. I have to say, she is pretty good at it. As much as you dislike Samael in Dragon Foretold, you learn to love him in Dragon Reborn (though I don’t think he compares to Gene from Polar Bared).

This series continues to be funny and suspenseful and with great banter between the characters. I’ve really enjoyed my time with the dragons. I’m thinking this is the last book in this series. But I also think that this will probably spin off into another series (like Kodiak Point and Bitten Point), though I have nothing that tells me that this, it is just a hunch.

Dragon Reborn Narration

3.5 Hearts

Again, Chandra Skyye did an okay job with the narration. Male and female voices are okay. The pace and tone are okay.

Author Eve LanglaisHello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens.

I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane…with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.

I’m Melanie and I live in Ohio. I have two horses and a dog. I’m an animal lover, avid book reader and audiobook listener. I like to live vicariously through fictional characters. I enjoy reading and listening to mostly fictional books in the paranormal genre, including Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance and Horror. My favorite paranormal creatures are shifters, doesn’t matter the flavor.

  1. I haven’t tried her yet Melanie but this looks good and it looks like you enjoyed them.

  2. I think I would do better readign this one vs listening. Just okay male and female voices doesn’t make me want to listen. I really hate bad male voices.

  3. You’re so right. She’s great at making a villain into a hero. Gene…sigh… love that polar bear.

  4. I only did a quick skim of your review, Melanie. I’ve only listened to the first book in this series, and I really enjoyed it. I’m glad to see it’s still going strong.

  5. Is Dragon Point a spin off? Should I start with this one? I’m going to give her another shot, to see if it was just the Princess of Hell series that fell flat for me. I definitely enjoy dragons so this might be a better fit.

    • Yes, Dragon Point is a spin off series, but you can start with book one Becoming Dragon. If you want to start at the beginning, the Kodiak Point series starts this one off. Then spins off to Bitten Point and then to this series. I would recommend starting with Kodiak Point series. It is a favorite of mine.

  6. This sounds like a seires that I would enjoy. I haven’t read this author before and I don’t think I have listened to the narrator either. Glad you enjoyed it!

  7. more dragons from Eve! It’s nice that she can successfully take a villain and redeem them. Hopefully it doesn’t happen too often – I like my villains to stay bad (mostly).
