Tangled Audiobook

Drew Evans is handsome and arrogant, he makes multimillion dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed? He’ll tell you he has the flu. But we all know that’s not really true.
Katherine Brooks is brilliant, beautiful and ambitious. When Kate is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.
Tangled is not your mother’s romance audiobook. It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women…just not as much as he thinks. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can’t live without.

My Thoughts

I bought the Audiobook Tangled a long time ago, and I have no idea why it took me so long to listen to it.

This is one of the few books that has plenty of reviews on audible, and although I agree with all the positive reviews, I wanted to share my experience.

We all think we know how men think, but to have it confirmed in a one-sided conversation by the arrogant, “I’m all that and a bag of chips,” I get what I want when I want it, and there’s no woman that can resist my smile, Drew Evans – was a sheer pleasure!

The enjoyment I got from having Drew take me through his romantic endeavor was such a pleasant surprise. I can’t tell you enough how big of a grin I had on my face while I was listening to this book. There is nothing extraordinary or deep in his story, yet it was everything a good romance tale should be; sweet, sexy, sarcastic, funny, hot, but most of all, downright entertaining.

I loved Drew, I loved Kate (the heroine) and I loved their story.

So if you haven’t had a chance to listen to Tangled, I highly suggest it! Let Drew Evans (a true player) tell you how his playboy ways came to a screeching stop when finally, love came knocking on his bachelor’s pad door.

Narrator Sebastian York

I couldn’t find an image of Sebastian, but I did find this nice interview by Emma Chase of this terrific narrator.

Review

Sebastian York just made my list of favorite narrators.

I love this man’s voice! His voice is sexy, soothing, deep, and everything you expect an overachiever playboy to sound like.

I don’t know how much I would have liked Tangled  if I had read instead. I don’t want to take anything away from the author here, after all she created and crafted the story, but is just that I loved so much Sebastain’s interpretation of Drew, and I got a feeling I going to love all of his interpretations.

His portrayal of Drew was perfect, right on! How easy the wrong tone would have sent me to the wrong side of this story. It’s not easy listening to a guy tell you how hot, smart and sexy he is, or  how he can have any woman he wants, without thinking “this guy is a jerk!” But Sebastian beautifully brought him to life in a manner that made him sound likable by conveying how Drew beyond his words didn’t take himself  seriously.

Excellent pace and approach.

And, oh boy! He’s got the romance gene!

His voice transitions were great, I always knew who was talking. I didn’t have a problem with Kate’s voice. He did a good job with her interpretation too.

All in all, Sebastian York made  the Audiobook Tangled a fabulous 8 hours of listening entertainment. My fist audiobook by Mr. York, but you can bet It won’t be my last
