4 Hearts
This is the second book in the Fire & Rescue Shifters. We start off with Connie storming into the backroom of a bar looking for her father. She finds out that her father has bet her mother’s old WWII fighter plane. Then the bar is set on fire, which brings our firefighter shifters to come help. That is when Chase and his pegasus realize that his mate in that building.
Chase and Connie had a thing a few years ago. That is until Connie finds Chase in bed with two other women. She quickly leaves without allowing him to make any explanations (and truthfully, I don’t blame her), but things weren’t what they seem. Chase really wants to win her back, she is his one and only mate, after all.
I really like the development of Firefighter Pegasus. It has a little more depth than the Firefighter Dragon, but is still a light and fun read. I love Connie. She is pretty amazing as she trying to keep her family above water while her father continues to gamble everything away. She isn’t quick to believe Chase, but he does finally win her back. I’m glad that we finally figured out what happen with those women years ago.
This has been a fun series. I love all the mythical creatures that are part of the Fire & Rescue team. I also gotta love the irony that the loan shark that Connie’s father is tangling with is an actual shark shifter (because what else would a shark shifter be?) I love learning more and more about the gang. If you want a quick listen with some unique shifters and a bit of suspense, this is the series for you.
Firefighter Pegasus Audiobook Narration
4 Hearts
Lucy Rivers continues to do a great job with the narration of this series. There are several accents of the different shifters (it takes place in England, so Scottish, Irish and British all present). Again, the cast is mostly male, but that doesn’t hold Ms. Rivers back. She does a great job with the larger male cast. I do foresee the female cast continue to grow, as the previous heroine was in this book too.
Narrator: Lucy Rivers
Lucy Rivers is a seasoned narrator of erotica and books on human sexuality.
I like to thanks Tantor Media for providing me with a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

These books have some great humor in them.
I thought about snagging this one when I saw it offered, but just could not fit in another review commitment. But yes, the unique shifter types were definitely the draw. Ha, about the shark shifter.
I know how that goes. I’ve passed on series before for the same reason.

So many great series and authors I’ve never even heard of, which is why I love coming here so you can introduce me to them Melanie! This looks fantastic!
Thanks! I loved the idea of these shifters. It isn’t often that you read about a pegasus. I’m glad I can introduce you new authors.

Oh that sounds unique that this book has a firefighter Pegasus. I always like seeing unusual supernatural creatures in books. That sounds nice how he has to win her back and there is some suspense as well. Great review!
I love unusual supernatural creatures too. The Pegasus was what caught my eye. The next book is a Griffin, so I’m excited for that one too.
