I can’t believe we are already to the last book in the Blood Brothers trilogy. This is a world that I’ve enjoyed immensely. In this, the last book, Denver gets his chance at love. He actually met Noni when he was on a mission in Anchorage, Alaska. He left her to keep her safe, though he knew it would break her heart.

Noni is desperate to find her friend’s baby. Her friend is dead, of suspicious nature. The baby is gone. The father is a drug dealer and in a gang. The friend left the baby to Noni in the will, but first they must find the baby, then she can fight for the legal right to her in court. In her desperation, she posts the only picture she has of Denver all over the net to try to find him. She knew that he would be able to help her.

Denver shows up and things all go sideways. Trying to determine who attacking them, is it the gang or Dr. Maddison and Sheriff Cobb? Neither are a group that anyone would want to tangle with. Denver goes into full protective mode and is determined to find the child. Then he is determined to end Cobb and Maddison before they become a danger to Noni and his family.

This book, as with all the books in this series, is full of really great characters. I love the addition of Noni and her aunts, who feel the need to refer to Denver as “dickhead” after he broke Noni’s heart the first time he left. There is also the return of Detective Malloy and his girlfriend (I would’ve loved more time with her). There are also the Dean brothers from the Sin Brothers series. Even the villains are amazing characters, even has you hate them.

Twisted Truths also has a ton of action. This story has Denver and Noni running from a notorious drug gang and his nemesis of Dr. Maddison and Sheriff Cobb. There are a ton of twists and turns as they have to deal with both groups to try to find the baby. Denver shows off his computer skills as he searches the black web and illegal auction for the baby.

This books wraps of the series, which does make sad. I haven’t heard of any more books set in this world, but I would gladly read them. I loved how we got to spend some time with Dean brothers and got to see them at the end of this book. This series has truly been a series about family, be they actually of blood or just friends who will stand with each other, no matter what.

Twisted Truths Audiobook Narration

4.5 Hearts

Karen White continues to do an amazing job with the narration of this series (as she did with the Sin Brothers series). There is a large array of male and female characters and she has no problem with the large cast that spans multiple series. I love all the voices she’s chosen for each character, they each fit the character’s personality to a tea. If you haven’t tried Karen White, I highly recommend her work.
