  1. And I loved Do Not Disturb as well. I did the ebook of Easy the year before but I recently listened to Overruled and really enjoyed it. I am currently listening to The Shadows. What did you think of the new pronunciations for S’Ex, Xhex, Xcor and Primale? I can’t get used to them and think that the Warden shouldn’t have had Jim Frangione change his pronunciations 13 books into this series. O_o

  2. Thanks for the giveaway!!! My favorite listen lately would have to be The Liar by Nora Roberts.

  3. I really need to listen to The Martian soon. I’ve heard amazing things about it.

My favorite so far has been Prudence by Gail Carriger. I love the narrator, and the story was fun.

  4. Thanks so much for hosting this! I’m loving audiobooks so far! My fav listen of this quarter, it’s been Cinnamon and Gunpowder, which was a wonderfully fun story, and also a great narrator. I definitely recommend it!

  5. I absolutely loved The Martian too! For some reason though, I had a real problem with the narration of Twisted. Didn’t finish so I’m going to get the book.

Thanks for the giveaway πŸ™‚ good luck everyone!

    • I’m a long time fan of Frangione so I enjoy his narrations (my first adult romance book was Dark Lover). it did take me two books to fall in love with his narrations.
I can’t wait to see the movie for the Martian! I hope is good πŸ™‚

Btw, I’ve been wanting to re-read Rebecca. I think I’ll do so by listening to the audio.

  8. I have so many of those books on my TBR pile! Great list. I think my favorite listen so far has been The Cloud Roads by Martha Wells (narrated by Chris Kipiniak), followed closely by The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson (narrated by Bernadette Dunne). Oh, I can’t leave out The Palace Job by Patrick Weekes (narrated by Justine Eyre).

  9. I loved The Martian too, so happy I added it in for another challenge. Can’t wait for the movie now, although the narrator was so much the main character for me, I am not sure how I will cope! My favorites at the moment are a trilogy set in South Carolina by Mary Alice Monroe – just listening to the second at the moment, The Summer Wind.

  10. I think I\’ve listened to a whole two audiobooks since the last update (fail, fail, fail). My favorite book so far has been My Life As a White Trash Zombie by Diana Rowland. The story was just okay but I really liked narrator, Allison McLemore.

  11. Favorite listen so far:
Fair Game (Alpha & Omega, #3) by Patricia Briggs (5 stars)
Vision in Silver (The Others, #3) by Anne Bishop (5 stars)

  12. Woots! I moved up a level this quarter so now I’m going for Stenographer. I caught a really nice sale on Audible and now I’m well stocked for a chance to maybe hit another new level by next quarter.

My favorite was actually a short little Christmas freebie, Christmas 1914 that made me cry, but my favorite longer listen is the one I’m on now Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon and narrated by Davina Porter.

I see you’ve listened to Burying Water and Easy two of my favorite NAs. I still want to listen to The Martian.

  13. According to Goodreads, I’ve listened to 72 books so far this year. So I guess I’m ahead of schedule. πŸ™‚

  14. I loved The Martian too! The narrator was so awesome. I also loved The Bees by Laline Paull which is unusual since the characters are bees but it was so full of drama and excitement. I will never look at bees the same way again!

  15. Okay, wait a minute!! Lol, I am participating in the 2015 Audiobook Challenge, but I didn’t realize we were supposed to have our second update posted already…. Did I miss an email??? I was thinking the update would happen at the end of this month…. So, do I need to make a second quarter update now?? Thanks and happy listening!!

    • It’s OK Lisa! You have until the end of July to post it. It was my fault, I scheduled the update while I was on vac and I forgot all about the e-mail πŸ™
But I did sent it as soon as I came back I hope you got it. There’s plenty of time to do it πŸ™‚

  16. I adored Murder al Dente by Jennifer Hart, narrated by Suzanne Cerreta. This was a completely new to me author and narrator. It was a mystery set in a small Southern town with Italian food and a hottie with a New Zealand accent. It was just fun to listen to.

  17. Nice list. I have Overruled and The Martian on my TBL pile for this month or July.

  18. I have done horribly with this challenge, Loupe! I still have only listened to one audiobook this year, and I’m not sure when I’ll finish the one I’m listening to right now, even if I love it!
I hope you’re doing great! I wish we could meet up for a few drinks and lots of chatting again soon πŸ˜‰

    • It’s OK Lexxie! You do so much reading πŸ™‚ There’s probably very little time for audios, but I’m hoping one day they will just click πŸ™‚
I wish we had more time at the convention to sit and enjoy each-other’s company, we did so much running around. Next time I want to go a day early πŸ™‚
I hope I get the chance to share some cocktails with you too.

  19. So far this year, I think my favorite listen was Golden Son by Pierce Brown.

  20. so – I’m rolling along nicely (YAY) but so far

The Necessary Death of Lewis Winter by Malcolm Mckay was amazingly good– I don’t particularly love thrillers / procedurals but the combo of author and Angus King narrating was killer good.

    Then romance-wise:
    Upside Down by Lia Riley
Katy Evans – I just listened to Manwhore and it was really good – Ripped before that – the first in that series I’d listened to and it was wonderful

And I’m on a kick with Rebecca Zanetti’s Dark Protectors series – it’s new in audio – I’d not read it but had it in my list of wishes. It’s got Karen White narrating – and her work is impeccable.

    Thanks for the challenge!

    • I’m becoming crazy in love with thrillers in general so I will definitely be checking out The Necessary Death of Lewis Winter by Malcolm Mckay, in fact I just added to my wish list πŸ™‚
I was surprised by the level of my enjoyment of Manwhore despite sounding so much like other contemporary romance books at first(to me)
I really enjoy Zenetti’s books too!
      Thanks for participating Gaele πŸ™‚

  21. I am currently finishing up the Divergent series (on the third book but will conclude with the prequel).

  22. The best audiobooks that I listened to this quarter were the ones read by the authors. I listened to some by celebrities (Yes, Please, and Modern Romance), but Still Alice was great, too.

  23. I would have to say my favorite listen is A Court of Thorns and Roses… actually, I think that may be my top read of the year period. I’ve listened to the audio format 3 times already. And I’ve physically read the book twice since I received the ARC back in March.

  24. I’m still loving Liliana Hart’s J.J. Graves series. But, I think my favorite book this quarter was Curing Doctor Vincent by Renea Mason. Never thought I’d love an erotica book so much, but I just really loved the audio performance.

  25. I agree. The Warden has spoken, but I am having trouble retraining my brain to accept these new pronunciations. I mentally correct Jim each and every time. Apparently, he had gotten those particular pronunciations incorrect so the Warden asked him to correct them this time. The mispronunciations are totally how I imagined them being pronounced when I was reading the books before switching over to listening to the audiobooks exclusively. Did you see this interview that he gave on narrating the BDB series? http://www.underthecoversbookblog.com/2015/03/narrator-override-jim-frangione.html

  26. My fave so far is The Longest Ride. It’s the best.

  27. This quarter my favorite two audiobooks were Innocent in Death by J. D. Robb and Hot Target by Suzanne Brockmann.

  28. Hm… I think so far my fave has been catching up on the Ilona Andrews series, Kate Daniels. I’m stuck now since my library doesn’t carry more of the series. AHHHHH!

  30. I can’t just choose one as a favorite cause I Binged on the Shelby Nichols series by Colleen Helme and loved them all…lol. πŸ™‚
