Best Audiobooks of 2013 Blog Hop and Giveaway

Best Audiobooks of 2013 image

Every year it gets harder and harder to pick favorites.

2013  was a fantastic year for audiobooks!

For once I did not have to wait forever for my favorite series’ new releases to be published on audio, as of now,  most of the new novels are being published simultaneously with the printed or digital copy, and that just made 2013 my best year for audiobooks!!

I know 2014 is only going to be better as the amount of audiobook junkies grow…YAY!

So to say that I had a hard time picking my favorites for 2013 would be an understatement; nevertheless I had to come up with my to 3 books for 2013.

IMO these were exceptionally well written and paired with a perfect performance made them winners all around. I love them!

  1. Happy New Year! I am so looking forward to this hop! My most anticipated read of 2014 is BITE ME by Shelly Laurenston. I have not found any of her books in audio yet, so I went ahead and pre-ordered the book in August already! (it is a March release – can’t wait!) Maybe one day her books will be recorderd too.

  2. Karen Moning’s Burned

  3. My most anticipated audiobook of 2014 is Dreams of Gods & Monsters by Laini Taylor.
    Thank you for the opportunity.

  4. I’m really looking forward to Murder of Crows by Anne Bishop. I just finished Written in Red and it blew me AWAY!

  5. Most Anticipated? GAH THE PRESSURE! No one should have this much pressure on them first thing at the beginning of the year 🙂

My answer may shock you but I am really looking forward to the last book in the Mythos Academy series by Jennifer Estep!

  6. Happy New Year from Oklahoma, USA. crystalbluern at onlineok dot com Waiting for Up from the Grave: Night Huntress By Jeaniene Frost Narrated By Tavia Gilbert Night Huntress Series, Book 7.

  7. Most anticipated book for me is The Undead Pool by Kim Harrison.

  8. Thanks for co-hosting this great hop, Loupe! I had The Sea of Tranquility as one of my favorites too so I think this is where I tell you what great taste in audiobooks you have… 🙂 I have so many books I’m eagerly anticipating for 2014 but I think I’d say Anne Bishop’s A Murder of Crows as what I’m most looking forward to at the moment.

  9. I LOVE Renee Raudman and Robert Petkoff, If we could list more than 3 they would have made my list.

  10. The Iona Lewis books have been on my list for forever and I’m really hoping 2014 will be the year I get to really read them. As for an anticipated release, that’s super easy – Burned by Karen Marie Moning. Gigante and Ross are incredible and there are promises of Barrons, so what more could a girl ask for? Except for it to be a January release instead of July…

  11. Love your first two choices Loupe so I have to try your third now. 🙂 July is a long way off for Magic Breaks but I’m sooo looking forward to it!

  12. I can’t wait for City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare. The final book in the Mortal Instruments series I can’t wait for the resolve of loose plot lines and getting my questions answered.

  13. I’m so glad to hear that the Kresley Cole books are good on audio. Does the same narrator do the whole series? That is a long one. Most of the narrators I’ve listened to have been women. Except Styxx, and I really liked that one.

  14. Yay! We both picked Magic Rises! Great minds think alike. 😀

    Happy New Year! 🙂

  15. Natchez Burning by Greg Iles.

  16. And I forgot to say: Thanks for inviting us to participate in the Blog Hop Loupe!

  17. I can’t wait for The Undead Pool and Burned! Thanks for the giveaway!

  18. I can’t wait for Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King, release date June 3, 2014.

  19. *whisper* I don’t really have one. I have such a huge TBR pile here at my place that I have only focused on that and nothing else. Thanks for the giveaway.

  20. The next Darynda Jones Grave book!!!

  21. Both of those series are on my Wish/TBR list & I just bought the Sea of Tranquility for my school library.

  22. 2014 holds some of the greatest releases anticipated, so it is very hard to narrow it down to one. I have to say that there are a ton of books I can’t wait to listen to or read! For instance: Uninvited by Sophie Jordan, Dreams of God and Monsters by Laini Taylor and The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkins. I’m looking forward to so many great reads this year!

  23. I am so excited for the Undead Pool to be released. It’s one series my husband and I buy in both hardcover and audio on release day or as soon after as we can get the audio!

  24. Toss up between the new Ilona Andrew’s book, the next J.D. Robb book and the next Karen Marie Moning book.

Now that I have a very long commute, I have come to depend on audiobooks to keep me safe and sane on my long drive everyday.

  25. omg I loved The Sea of Tranquility! You make me want to listen to it again. Definitely interested in checking out your other series choices as well.

In terms of what i’m anticipating this year- probably the latest Bloodlines installment Silver Shadows at the end of July, sigh.
