This is a revisit for me. I read this book back in 2015. It is a series that I really loved. I was really excited to tackle it again. I love all these bears at Grayslake.

So this story starts out with Mia moving into her grandfather’s house in Grayslake. Most of the people that live there are shifters and part of the Grayslake clan. She finds a young cub hiding in her closet. His uncle comes pounding on the door and demanding the cub, but when the cub wets himself because he is so scared. Mia’s protective instincts kick in and she refuses to give the boy over.

Ty, the clan leader (or Itan) and county sheriff comes to see what all the fuss is about. He is instantly attracted to Mia. He can’t allow her to keep Parker, the cub, but he is able to take the boy in, since he’s the Itan. Mia goes with him to stay at the clan house.

There is quite the battle for this child. He is very important to the clans, but not everyone is interested in protecting him. There are some who would rather see him out of their way in a claim for power.

This is a really cute story. It is a quick listen at only seven and half hours. I really enjoy the characters. All of Ty’s brothers are a lot of fun and they get books later in the series. If you like shifter romance, this is something you should check out.

No Ifs, and, or Bears About It Audiobook Narration

This is my first time listening to Kendall Taylor. I thought she did a good job with this narration. I liked the pacing and tone. The male and female voices were done well. She had to voice the gruff uncle, the boy and several uber alpha males. There aren’t a lot of women in the book at this point, but there was a few.

Ex-dance teacher, former accountant and erstwhile collectible doll salesperson, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Celia Kyle now writes paranormal romances for readers who:

1) Like super hunky heroes (they generally get furry)

2) Dig beautiful women (who have a few more curves than the average lady)

3) Love laughing in (and out of) bed.

It goes without saying that there’s always a happily-ever-after for her characters, even if there are a few road bumps along the way. Today she lives in central Florida and writes full-time with the support of her loving husband and two finicky cats.

I’m Melanie and I live in Ohio. I have two horses and a dog. I’m an animal lover, avid book reader and audiobook listener. I like to live vicariously through fictional characters. I enjoy reading and listening to mostly fictional books in the paranormal genre, including Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance and Horror. My favorite paranormal creatures are shifters, doesn’t matter the flavor.
